Consultations
The standard cost of an initial consultation with HRBR’s resident consultant dermatologist is €400. This consultation lasts up to one hour during which time the doctor will carry out a scalp examination, complete a medical history, allow for an in-depth discussion and provide advice in relation to treatment options.
A standard dermatology review consultation costs €250 and normally lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Please note that the doctor normally spends longer in consultation with patients with scarring hair loss conditions and the fees for these consultations are therefore €500 for a new patient consultation and €300 for a review consultation.
Biopsy Costs
Following a consultation with our dermatologist, in some cases he may request that you return for a biopsy at HRBR in order to help confirm diagnosis of your condition.
A biopsy at HRBR costs €500, this fee covers the doctors, nurses and theatre time as well as the initial laboratory investigations. Should further testing of your biopsy be required the laboratory will invoice you directly for this.
